July 09 Shifting blog site...Hey all, my www.chaihy.com is sorta up, I'll be shifting slowly to that site. So feel free to drop by ;) June 30 Hi...
June 07 030606Darn I sprained my leg… it’s erm… not ankle… more to I sprained my foot… my friends can’t get it for how did I do that? (Spraining my foot)… it’s been over a week and it’s still aching and swelling after some walk around. I'm still able to walk around like normal.. no pain (most of the time).. but by the time I stop and stay idle… then I’ll feel my right foot start throbbing, pain starting to sneak in… and then… ‘swelling’ made its grand entrance to my foot… tightening my sandals :(
Anyway, I took a day off last Friday to ‘rest my foot’. I took medicine for my swelling and pain… it seemed fine by then.
Then there I went to Klang on Saturday for a meetup with buddies from college. We went to Pulau Ketam somemore… please remind me that I’m totally not a seafood lover when anyone of you happens to be going to have seafood with me. But it was such an experience to eat seafood with some odd sea creatures’ images in my mind. And during that time as well, it so proved me that I don’t know how to eat crab… at all… causing the crab flying around… imagine… crab can actually fly when it comes to my hand and under my folk and spoon… Afraid05-06-06 9.23am Listening to Hand in My Pocket by Alanis Morissette ‘I’m brave but I’m chicken shit…’ Yeah, that’s totally what I am. I seem like a ‘brave’ person in some ways but I’m afraid of things… all sorts of stuff from small living thing to big non-living things. I’m afraid of flying pest… insects… I’m afraid of dirt… I’m afraid of those microscopic living thing in the water… air… food… everywhere… I’m afraid of people… I’m afraid of animals… I’m afraid of objects… I’m afraid of height… I’m afraid of needle… I’m afraid of fear… Recalling back to last Thursday (1/6/2006), I almost fainted out of fear when I saw my colleague fainted while donating blood. I thought I’ve overcome the fear of needle but I haven’t overcome the phobia of seeing other ppl fainting… that… making me faint as well… LazyIt’s been eons since I last updated this blog… have been seriously lazying around… Anyway, check out: or chaihy.wordpress.com
Will try to come up with a real blog… or web site on www.chaihy.com when I stop lazying around anymore ;)
Comments are more than welcome. Will try to figure out what to write and stuff. March 15 LangkawiNever in my life I'd been to a crystal clear beach... arriving at Langkawi, the sea is greenish blue and kinda clear... even at the jetty, where boats are all around... it's suppose to be dirty and full of oil stink right? But it's not... the water there is clear... seriously...
We started our journey from KL at 2.30am on 10th of March... yeah, it was tiring especially after a long day work during the day, so have to extra thank our 'driver' Li Ming... who drove us safely from KL to Kuala Kedah... it was a 6hours plus drive... and boy it sure was tiring even though I was only a passenger. I kept on trying to stretch my body in the small compartment in the car. :S I’ve never been on the highway in this mere hour of the day… not much cars.. but a lot of lorries… hmm…
Arriving at Kuala Kedah, we bought ourselves ferry tickets to go to Pulau Langkawi… then only on the boat, I started to really dozed off (had to force myself up before that to keep our driver company so that she wouldn’t fall asleep as well…. But somehow I was doing kinda a bad job… she was still falling asleep). After about an hour, I got up, the water in sight became clearer and greenish… unlike the brownish water we saw when we took off from Kuala Kedah. The boat put to a halt after about one hour and fifteen minutes later, we’d finally arrived at Pulau Langkawi.
Ok, maybe I was really exhausted. I didn’t feel the trill that I was suppose to have when we arrived. People started to woo us to rent car for them, finally we’d settled with a Nissan Sentra… costing us about RM180 for two and a half days. I didn’t know I was really gonna be the driver for the trip, seeing how serious the rest were and how tired Li Ming was, I just had to tighten my scalp and facial muscle to become the driver. I’d never drive outside Kuching, and that was my first time to drive in Peninsular Malaysia… I kid u not… I don’t really like to drive here as I don’t like driving fast… and 60km per hour is considered as fast for me… I’m deadly serious!
Ok, with a map, we started our journey at Langkawi. I was tensed at first, not only I wasn’t use to driving the car, I totally had no idea where I was suppose to head to. :S But after feeding the car with fuel and air for the tires, I totally let go and didn’t care anymore… I just somehow started to ‘torture’ the car ;)
Our first meal… KFC… haha… it was suppose to be a tax-free island right? So we figured the fast food there should be tax free as well… hey, we were right.. it was tax free, but the original price is higher.. so it doesn’t make any difference with the price in other places after being taxed :\
Then we drove to the Eagle statue, took some photos, burning ourselves in the mid-afternoon sun. And stupidly, I was wearing all black… so go figure how high my body temperature had gotten… pooo..
After that, we’d all agreed to go to a cooler place with air-condition, so we went to the ‘largest’ shopping complex in Langkawi.. I’d forgotten what is it called… hmm… We took the opportunity to start to check out the price for the chocolate and alcohol, it was really much more cheaper without tax :D
From town area to Langkasuka Resort (the resort we were going to stay) took about 20-30 minutes drive… and I would like to complain about the road condition along the way, they were rebuilding the road, and it was really very inconvenience and dangerous to have to drive so fast there. Although I drove only about 60-80km per hour.. it still scared the hell out of me.. and I couldn’t imagine myself driving that road at night. I’m blind to drive in the dark :P
Ok, we got to Langkasuka in one piece.. I’m not sure whether I’d scared the hell out of the passengers on board or not :P haha… at least we arrived safely right?
Checking in, the resort looks so alike the resorts in Kuching… hmm… it’s a 3 stars resort, so we couldn’t expect much right? So I was kinda satisfied with it :) I’m an easy person… what to do?
After freshen up ourselves, we went to a port to take pictures with fancy boats. Then we went to Telaga Tujuh (Seven Well), but we only saw the waterfall and didn’t even see one well, as we were tired and kinda lazy to have to ‘climb’ up the staircase or slope to see the wells. But we managed to see the waterfall there.
Next up, we went to Berjaya Resort cable car. Not only they’d turn the place to a small village alike place, it’s beautiful. We went on the cable car and it was kinda scary when the cable car took off, so much more freaky than the cable cars at Genting Highlands :S Along the way to mid hill, we took a lot of photos, what a view… it was about evening when we went on the cable car… and the sun was about to set.. but still shining sturdily… looking out to the sea, we couldn’t separate the sky from the sea or vice versa… it looked like they are combined. And ...
TBC ( to be continue) still lazy to continue... later only see lar...
February 24 Plain and SimpleMy friend Hui Ling 'introduced' this to me... it's a simple way to make money through Internet. Well the money is little... but little better than none right? You don't have to do extra work to earn this money, just a little mail checking and see some advertisements and stuff... So try and go and see and then sign up if you're somehow interested ;)

February 20 Monday BlueMonday is suppose to be bad enough for me, but I'm in an even bad mood when I was awaken by screaming and crying sounds from upstairs... oh, should be upper upstairs. I tried to cover my ears to block out the fighting sounds... it's just so pathetic to listen to their fight early in the morning... like 4 something before 5. It could be really scary as well you know. Last time their fight was because the husband got drunk and got back... fought with the wife, and of course there was the kids' screaming as well. And they always chose midnight or dawn... I had no idea what they fought about, they were shouting and screaming in Indian. This time, I think it was the boy who scremed as if someone had their hands around his neck. Ok I fell back asleep after 5am, then awoke again by those screaming and sounds of throwing stuff at 6 something... By then I gave up sleeping. Will it help even if we report to the police? February 19 HurtIt hurts so much when I love you but couldn't say it to you.
It hurts so much when you smile, I can only watch from distance.
It hurts so much when you're in pain but I couldn't take it away.
It hurts even much when I need you, you are destined to someone else... On a lazy friday afternoon...Quiet...
Cooling...
Peaceful...
Sleepy...
February 09 GreedyI ate like I've never eaten before during my CNY holiday in Kuching. I had been stuffing my tummy, overloaded it with unnecessary load of food. At last after almost 2 weeks of overwork, it gave up... mocking... giving me diarrhoea, vomitting and stomach pain frequently from 7pm till 5am at the next morning... scaring the hell out of my parents causing them to fetch me to the hospital in the middle of the night. Oh well, even though the doctor on duty said it was because I had food poisoning... but I guess part of the reason would be my over-eating attitude as well. -_- February 08 ParentsWhen we got sick, it's our parents' hearts that are breaking... and it's them who feel the greater pain...
We've got medicine to stop our sickness and pain, but what is the medicine to cure the parents' aching heart? December 31 2006HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Hope that 'year year got this day, age age got this erm... evening...'
May all wishes come through... December 29 Sick... again...I've been sick for countless times this year... this year I've break my own record by visiting the clinic at least once a month... oh gosh, what happened to me? December 23 Merry Christmas!!Merry Christmas...
This is something I found 'interesting' from my friend, Li Ming's, personal message on her MSN messenger...
金狗表,金狗表, 今狗哦的喂..

Happy Holiday!!
December 12 Colleague's Wedding Dinner For the third time in my life and this year... and in 3 consecutive months... I've been to Malacca. This time I went there with a bunch of my colleagues. Our main purpose is to attend another colleague's wedding dinner.
The dinner should be starting at 7pm as stated in the invitation card, but we reached Malacca a little bit too early... about 4.30pm. We went to fetch another colleague from a shopping complex. After that, we went to Jocker Walk to have cendol... this time I had the 'Baba Durian Cendol'... ok, there is no durian but it has the durian 'syrup' that taste like... real durian... what am I talking about :P the smell is kinda heavy and later when I burb, it contained all the durian smell. Excuse me about that.
Next stop... erm... I forgot what is the shopping complex called... we went there to spent our 'spare' time. We went to the indoor game shops to spare our time. We played car racing video game... there were 8 of us... at first I'd gotten the 4th place... but the second time I was the last :P I'm not good in driving at all...Then we played around with the games and left the shopping complex at about 6.50pm. (ok.. just found out.. it's Mahkota Parade)
Reaching the Yok Bin school, we were among the early birds. After settling ourselves in a table... we waited and chit-chatting away. My colleagues have the obsession of taking photos... maybe it's because it's really fun taking photos together. The colleague who was getting married is the bride. When the bride and groom reached, we slipped out through the side door and re-entering the hall through the front door in order to greet and congrats the bride and groom... and of course... photo shooting...
There... waitresses and helpers started to serve alchoholic drinks... at first... it was only beer... then wine came to our sight... almost all of us started to have wine. I never like alchoholic drinks... but after my second glass of wine... I fell in love with it, I started to drink more and more... slowly... ended up, I had 4-5 glasses of wine... while having the dishes... luckily... or else I would have drunk during my third glass of wine.
Big eater is what we are... although I know some would not admit it :P Among 9 of us sitting on the table, 6 of them are men, who loves to eat and eat a lot! And then the remaining 3 girls... me included... well... 2 of them are big eaters too.. I admit.. I'm one of the big eater... really big eater. Nothing or not much food would be left after every dish ;P
There was karaoke too... guests getting up on stage to perform their singing talent... one of my colleague a.k.a. the K-king was caught off guard when his name was announced to be the next singer on the stage. He with another colleague together sang this lovely Jacky Cheung's tune which I don't know what the song name is (but I think it's the theme song from Snow Wolf Lake)... Wow, he's really a good singers if compared to my guy friends who I've been to karaoke with.
As times went by and more flows of wine... I was getting more... carefree... Uh oh, yeah, I was drunk. I almost passed out during our last dish... but thank goodness I didn't. I still had a quarter glass of Brandy, but after 2 sips... I gave up. We talked and kid carefree-ly... it's been quite a while since I'd been so high. -_- Could see that we were all (my colleagues and I) a bit too... 'excited'!!
When the dinner was over, I was so affraid that I would lose balance as soon as I got up from my seat. I tried to stand... ok, I still managed to stand... another girl colleague of mine said that "Ok, we'll try to see if we can walk 'nicely'..." There we went, linking arms, stumbled a bit to the door. But after a few more steps, I started to get my 'walking rythm' back and walk without a problem ;)
Reaching home... it was almost 1.30am. And the next morning would be Mon = working day :( ... but yahooo... Monday is almost over!!!
p/s: Congrats to Vivian and thanks a lot for the dinner... we really had fun!! Lots of fun... |
